The 1910 stands out from all other Old Forester expressions because it’s double-barreled, giving it a more intense, woodier aroma and flavor than the rest of the range. A fire halted the bottling line at the Old Forester distillery in Louisville, Kentucky caused a batch of whiskey to sit waiting for bottles. The fine folks at Old Forester decided to simulate this flavor by using secondary barrels that were charred far beyond what we usually see. Aged for 12 years and bottled at 47% alcohol by volume (93 proof), the result is an exceptionally smooth drink with lots of flavor.

Crowd Taste Notes:
Aromas of caramel, vanilla, oak, and chocolate. On the palate is leather, brown sugar, vanilla, and caramel. It has medium oak intensity, a creamy mouthfeel with warm sensations and a medium finish.
