The Old Doublewood series relies upon an aging process where the whisky spends the first part of it’s life in American oak to extract a rich vanilla profile. It is then finished in European oak to impart a deeper spice. The marriage of these casks bolsters the spirit and creates an incredibly complex profile for this limited release from The Balvanie.
